In the event of a flat tire, you should replace it immediately with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) spare wheel/tyre until your tyre has been inspected for punctures and leaks.

If a puncture is identified, it must be repaired as soon as possible to prevent further tearing. Tyre patches should be carefully applied to both the inner and outer surfaces of the tyre.

Run-flat tyres are designed to continue working even when punctured or when there is no air thanks to their dependable handling.
They can function even when there is no air in them and can be driven for a reasonable period of time, allowing users to get to a mechanic to have their tyre repaired or replaced if necessary.
Most run-flat tyres have a maximum speed of 80km/hr for a maximum distance of 80km.

Conventional tyres

Offers smooth ride in any weather although punctured wheels need to be replaced immediately as it a serious safety hazard.
Cars with standard tyres come with a spare, whereas cars with run-flat tyres do not come with one.
Driving on flat tyres instead of waiting for the car recovery service will only cause more damage to the tyres.
